Château at Montsoreau 09.10.2016

The Château at Montsoreau is a part fortress/part château which stands guard at the confluence of the rivers Vienne and Loire.

Tucked away on the outskirts of the riverside village, it is a mixture of architecture from the Middle Ages and modern times. The château, built in 1455, was a strategic military location and was one of the first boating residences on the Loire.
