Sainte-Suzanne 17.12.2016

Sainte-Suzanne is a medieval citadel perched on a hill overlooking the Erve valley, in the countryside between Le Mans and Laval in the Mayenne

The stone buildings, ramparts, drawbridge and Château and amazing views make it such a pretty village to visit. Sainte-Suzanne is even listed as one of the 'most beautiful villages of France '.

The Château , built in the 11th century, houses an interactive museum. Sainte-Suzanne was held under siege by the English in the time of William the Conqueror - you can still visit the ‘Camp des Anglais’ nearby.
