Martigné-sur-Mayenne, is a small village located between the towns of Laval and Mayenne, in the department of the Mayenne .

This is where Channel 4 documentary stars Dick and Angel Strawbridge found their dream Château: Château de la Motte Husson . They starred in the series Escape to the Château showing how they are turning the old French castle into a family home and venue.

The village of Martigné sur-Mayenne is alongside the River Mayenne  and its former towpath, which is perfect for walks and bike rides. This path is even part of the Vélo Francette cycle route that links Ouistreham (Normandy) to La Rochelle (Nouvelle-Aquitaine), crossing the Pays de la Loire.
