The Pays de la Loire is therefore a popular destination for water sports! Vendée is even is even the leading department in France in the water sports industry.
Some beaches in Vendée are known to be great surfing spots, such as La Sauzaie, near Brétignolles-sur-Mer or Bud Bud, south of Longeville-sur-Mer.
