Montsoreau is a pretty village alongside the Loire River, near Saumur, right on the border of the Anjou and Tourraine regions.

In the very centre of the village stands the prestigious 15th century Château , restored during the 20th century. Since 2015, it houses a contemporary art collection. The village of Montsoreau has mainly white tufa stone houses, and is surrounded by vineyards. 
It is even recognised as one of the 'Most Beautiful Villages of France' .

A popular flea market takes place all-year round alongside the Loire, on every second Sunday of the month.

In Montsoreau, there is also a mushroom farm and its restaurant: Le Saut aux Loups , a must-see!
