The Refuge de L’Arche is the perfect place to appreciate how precious animals are.

It is more than a zoo, it is a place were animals who are ill or have been mistreated are taken in, cared for and then released back into their natural environment. Only animals that have become too dependent on mankind remain here, where they can live out the rest of their lives in absolute peace. You won’t find animals performing here – it’s all about giving them back their independence. The environment is as close to nature as possible with large green spaces and places where people can watch the wildlife without disturbing them. No animals are left out, both wild and domestic animals are welcomed and visitors have the opportunity to observe their rehabilitation, perhaps taking a minute to consider the impact of our actions on our fellow creatures.
