Along the Loire River you can follow the trumpeting of the Great Elephant to the Machines de l’île, an exciting interactive adventure inspired by both Leonardo de Vinci and Nantes’ very own Jules Verne. A few steps away, at the tip of the ‘île’ of Nantes, you’ll find the ‘Hanger à Bananes’ (a converted banana warehouse), where the café and restaurant terraces hum with a seaside resort atmosphere well into the night.
