A Michelin star that is! Discard any ideas of pretentious, self-important divas. The owner, Eric Guérin, a Michelin-starred chef, is young, friendly and very good looking! The setting is gorgeous: an idyllic location in the Brière Natural Park in the Loire Atlantique.

Eric uses the finest local produce and creates dishes that are a delight to both the palate and the eye. Creative, contemporary cuisine with Eastern undertones combines with traditional touches and the result is an explosion of all the senses. Delicious!

His staff are welcoming, attentive and happy to adapt to specific dietary requirements (such as my husband’s garlic allergy).

And, if you fancy yourself as a master chef, you can put on an apron and hat for the day and get creative in the kitchen alongside the chef .
If you don’t have a ‘designated driver’ you can stay in one of the 15 delightful rooms and wake-up to bird song in the morning!
